Oysters au Gratin - Prep. Time 30 Minutes
INGREDIENTS:
24 large Willapa Oysters, 1 cup Milk, 1 tablespoon Flour, 1/2 tablespoon Butter, 1 Egg Yolk, 5 tablespoons freshly grated yellow Cheese, Salt, Rock Salt
PREPARATION:
Open Oysters in microwave. Just open, don´t cook. Discard top shells. Cut meat from bottom shells. Leave in shells. Reserve. Preheat oven to 450°F. Mix Milk, Flour, Butter, Egg Yolk, freshly grated Yellow Cheese and Salt to taste in Blender until smooth. Put mixture in sauce pan at medium heat stirring until thickens. Arrange Oysters on bed of Rock Salt on ovenproof serving platter. Distribute sauce on Oysters. Bake for 6-7 minutes until sauce turns golden brown. Serve Immediately.
